Fashion 2023

We are so accustomed to using new products from cosmetic companies that sometimes we forget that the best face and body care products are prepared for us not by a laboratory, but by nature. Summer is the time to remember the notorious "grandmother's" recipes and cosmetics from herbs and flowers!

The most important misconception of opponents of phytocosmetics is the laboriousness and duration of the process of preparing various lotions and masks from natural products. In fact, most cosmetics can be made in a matter of minutes, and it’s not at all necessary to go to the fields or forests for herbs - almost all of them grow right in the summer cottage, in the garden or vegetable garden. So why not use both crops and weeds for the benefit of your own beauty and youth?

In the morning, instead of tonic or water, wash your face with tea from fresh nettle or fireweed flowers (2 tablespoons of herbs in a glass of boiling water) - the skin will become more even and smooth. During breakfast, leave a little bit (2 tablespoons) of bio-yogurt, add finely chopped mint or rosemary greens and chopped oatmeal to it. Apply the resulting slurry on your face for 5 minutes, and then rinse. This morning mask tones the skin for the whole day.

Passing past the parsley patch, pluck a couple of branches and head into the garden. Having settled down there in a hammock or a rocking chair, attach the branches to the eyelids for 15 minutes and just relax - there will be no trace of swelling! By the way, a decoction of parsley or dill (1 tbsp. Grass in a glass of boiling water) can be frozen for the winter - morning and evening massage with ice cubes is an excellent tonic and a good alternative to various anti-aging programs. In the evening, after removing makeup, do not be too lazy to wash your eyelids with an infusion of cornflower flowers (1 teaspoon per cup of boiling water) - it will help to avoid irritation. Another "evening" grandmother's recipe for fatigue is a rosehip mask. Pour three tablespoons of chopped fruit with two cups of boiling water, boil for 10 minutes and leave to cool overnight. Strained broth can be drunk as a vitamin cocktail, and applied externally.

If you are slightly sunburned or just tired of freckles - make a whitening and at the same time soothing mask from dandelion leaves (fortunately, you won't have to look for this plant for a long time). Mix the crushed leaves with warm milk in a ratio of 1: 2 and let the resulting mixture brew for 10 minutes, then add the yolk and apply the mask for 10-15 minutes. A decoction of black elderberry also has a whitening effect (2-3 tablespoons of flowers in 2 cups of water, boil for 5 minutes). At every opportunity, wipe your face with this lotion, and after a week there will be no trace of your freckles and age spots. A napkin moistened with the juice of fresh viburnum fruits should also be applied to pigmented areas of the skin for 10 minutes 7-8 times a day.

If after a day spent on the shore of a nearby lake your face is chapped - pick fresh coltsfoot leaves in the garden, wash them thoroughly, pound them, mix with fresh milk (2 tablespoons of herbs for one glass) and apply on the skin for 15-20 minutes - the discomfort will immediately pass. In general, no matter what happens during your vacation in the country - run to your garden for help. However, folk remedies can be used not only to solve seasonal problems. Summer vacation is a great time to take care of yourself and treat your face. So, lotions from a decoction of horsetail (1 tbsp chopped grass per glass of water, boil for 20 minutes) or St. Another time-tested remedy is nettle lotion. Mix 100 ml of vodka with a tablespoon of nettle leaf juice and wipe your face with the resulting mixture in the morning and evening for 2 months (after 30 days the course will need to be repeated). Dry skin in the summer simply needs peppermint lotions (1 tbsp of herb for 1 cup of boiling water) and sage tonic for washing (a handful of leaves for 3 channels of boiling water, leave for 40 minutes, store in a cool, dry place). With acne-prone skin, it is useful to wipe the face with a decoction of oak bark mixed with vodka. Pour a tablespoon of bark with a glass of boiling water and boil for 10-15 minutes, mix the cooled mixture with vodka in a ratio of 1:2.

If you stay in the city and with fresh parsley from your own garden you are separated by kilometers of a long journey, do not despair. Firstly, extracts of medicinal herbs can be bought at a pharmacy, and secondly, you or your neighbor probably have a lot of indoor plants. So, ordinary aloe is just a storehouse of useful properties. In the evening and in the morning, lubricate the cleansed face with a piece of aloe leaf or an ice cube from the frozen juice of this flower. Such procedures are useful for any type of skin. If you have the first wrinkles - urgently make your own super cream - add aloe juice and a little sunflower oil to vaseline or lanonin. It is better to apply the mixture twice a day - in the evening and in the morning - for 10-15 minutes. With oily skin and acne, a mask with an egg will help. Pour a teaspoon of aloe juice into the beaten yolk, soak the gauze with the resulting mass, put the cloth on your face and forget about everything for 10-15 minutes - meditation at the end of the working day is a useful thing.
