In March, Svetlana can be seen in the film "Love in the Big City" and in the Polish film "Little Moscow", for the main role in which Svetlana received a prize at the festival in Gdynia

BEFORE: Svetlana, the film Love in the City is coming out in March, where you played one of the main roles. What is this painting about?

SH: It's a full-length picture about love. About how much a person needs to understand and go through, to gain a huge life experience in order to distinguish the real from the fake, important from unimportant.

BEFORE: Who did you play?

SH: I played a sex therapist. I liked that my heroine is a very vital character. She is an ordinary person, with her own strengths and weaknesses. And I had the most pleasant impressions from the shooting. A very professional group and excellent partners were selected, with whom I immediately became friends. During the filming, everything happened very quickly, because there was very little time to get to know each other - we had to make friends right away.

DO: Of all the characters you've played, which one do you feel closest to as a human being?

SH: I can say that all the heroines are close to me. I put myself into each of the roles, in each of them there is a piece of my character. And even negative heroines I always try to justify and understand for myself, so that the audience will understand them humanly in the future.

DO: Probably one of your most striking images in the cinema is the heroine of the film "Bless the Woman" by Stanislav Govorukhin. Her actions and attitude to life are also close and understandable to you?

SH: This role is very important to me. She's like my first movie love. As for the actions of my heroine, as a woman, I understand her perfectly. I think any woman will understand it! And her attitude to life was made up of many factors, which also should not be forgotten. Just think what time she lived! After all, there was a war…

BEFORE: One of the most emotional scenes in the film is the moment when the heroine tells her husband that she is expecting a baby. And he hears in response that she cannot have children. Do you think a woman has the right to sacrifice her children for anything?

SH: In my opinion, neither a woman nor a man has such a right.

BEFORE: Is it possible for you to have a relationship like your character's family in Bless the Woman?

SH: I still love my husband and still do a lot for him. But I'm not ready to answer such personal questions in detail.

BEFORE: When you look at your childhood photos, you see them as an ordinary, slightly shy girl. Do you remember when you felt truly beautiful?

SH: I'm actually biased towards myself and frankly I always have been. And to say that one day I woke up and thought: “I’m beautiful!” - I can not. I don't remember this. Naturally, I am very pleased when people talk about it. Like any woman, I love compliments, but I don't dwell on my own appearance.

BEFORE: Admit it, there are days when you don't feel pretty?

SH: I confess that the days in my life are different and it all depends on the mood. I think the most important thing is to believe in yourself and love yourself. But I confess that sometimes chocolate helps me a lot!

DO: It is said that beautiful women have a much easier life in the world than ugly ones. Do you agree with this?

SH: No, I don't agree with that. I know many examples when a woman is very beautiful (and it also happens that she is beautiful and smart), but at the same time she has such a hard time in life! And it happens that inconspicuous girls are so happy that any beauty can envy them … This is life, and there are so many facets in it, that it’s impossible to say that it’s easy for beautiful people, and not very beautiful for ugly ones. Everything is much more complicated.

BEFORE: Are there situations where appearance helps you achieve what you want or get out of difficult situations?

SH: Of course there are. For example, at police posts, my appearance helps a lot. But one thing is for sure: I don’t remember a single time when my appearance bothered me.

DO: When you got married, you changed your last name to Yaglych, but your maiden name, Khodchenkova, is still written in the credits. In what situations do you use your husband's last name?

SH: According to the documents, I am Yaglych, but for the audience I remain Svetlana Khodchenkova, because I came to the cinema with this surname and that is how they know me. And I will leave the reason for changing my last name in the line of my personal life, which, as you already know, I don’t really like to talk about.

BEFORE: In an interview, you said that your mother always supported you in difficult situations. Do you still have a close relationship?

SH: Of course, my mother is a very close person for me, and when it's hard for me, she still often supports me, for which I am very grateful to her. It's a pity that we don't see each other as often as we would like. After all, we live in different cities!

BEFORE: Were there situations when you had to go against the will of your parents?

SH: Of course it happened quite often during adolescence.
