On the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, VTsIOM found out what Russians consider necessary to create a family.
Specially for the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, which is celebrated today, the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) learned from Russians what they consider absolutely necessary for creating a family.
Over the past few years, Russians have somewhat changed their idea of what it takes to start a family. If four years ago it seemed to our fellow citizens that it was impossible to create a family without having a sufficient level of income (62%), now love has come to the fore (56%).
The Russians put the availability of separate housing as the second most important place (55%), the level of income moved to the third line (46%). 34% of respondents attach the greatest importance to the coherence of family and personal life plans.
Young people prefer love, housing and income levels, and for middle age, the proximity of partners in terms of education, culture and social stratum turned out to be more significant. Older people, on the other hand, tend to attach importance to good relations with the partner's environment and to the fact that partners are suitable for each other in age.
