I can’t attribute myself to people who decide early on their life goals and go to them from childhood. When I was 18 years old, I dreamed of having a job related to travel and journalism: something like a TV presenter about different interesting corners of the planet. Later I learned that this is generally one of the most popular ideas about the ideal job. And what is really not so pleasant - days of filming in the heat and cold, heavy flights, long waits and not a day to rest in a wonderful country. As you understand, I did not become the host of the Around the World TV show, although a couple of my travel reports were published.

What do you need in order to succeed? In addition to just mental abilities, which, whatever one may say, should be (otherwise nothing will help), the ability to learn quickly is extremely important, communicate with people, discipline and high efficiency. But the inability to negotiate and seek compromises can, on the contrary, greatly complicate your path to success.

Also, in my opinion, it is very important to seek the support of others. Therefore, building relationships with people is one of the most important steps in moving up. In our business, people are the main capital and value of the company. The ability to attract good specialists to your team and motivate them is the main part of the work of a manager.

Several skills help me in my career and communication with colleagues. First, I can listen and understand what people are trying to say. Secondly, I can convey my thoughts to people, explain, find examples that are close and understandable to those who are listening to you at the moment. And finally, just a sincere desire to talk and communicate with people.

Psychologically, I'm more of an extrovert,so I'm good at all these things. I remember that at school I often worked as a “translator” for classmates, for example, in a mathematics lesson I could explain to my friend what she did not understand from the words of the teacher. As far as wanting to connect with people, I often see good beginnings dwindle in endless emails or behind the scenes discussions. In situations like this, someone needs to take the lead in getting people together and making a decision.

I can call my current position a success, but I can't call it the climax and ultimate dream. Yes, sometimes I say to myself: "I am a successful woman." Usually it happens in the store when I feel sorry for the money for some thing. Then I begin to convince myself: “You are a successful woman, you can afford it!” But at the same time, I believe that money cannot be synonymous with personal success - if only because people often get it not for career achievements, but, for example, from parents or from a spouse. I would say that in business money is rather a companion of success.

My advice: if you want to succeed, you need to learn how to be intelligent and think outside the box. First of all, think not about what needs to be done, but about what goals need to be achieved. Because they promote those who have ambitions and are not afraid to offer something new.
