Love conquers all ages! This summer, the world's oldest couple went down the aisle, where the groom is 103 and the bride is 91.

British George Kirby and Doreen Lucky have officially become the world's oldest couple to tie the knot. They got married in the presence of 50 of their closest friends and family members. The ceremony was also attended by a representative of the Guinness Book of World Records.
The wedding date (June 13, 2015) coincided with George's 103rd birthday, making the celebration even more significant. When asked about the wedding, George said that he was happier than ever, that Doreen made him feel young and he could definitely say that they were going to spend the rest of their lives together. This story proves once again that age really doesn't matter when it comes to love.
Their combined ages totaled 195, breaking the Guinness World Record. The previous couple was only 188 years old, making Kirby and Lucky the title of the world's oldest couple.
"We're not doing this for a Record Book entry, we're getting married because we've been in love for a long time, and I finally realized that now is the time to do it," Kirby said.
They met in 1988 and have been in a civil partnership ever since. Together they have 7 children, 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, all of whom pressured Kirby for a long time to formally marry Doreen. It all happened last year at Valentine's Day dinner when Kirby finally decided the moment had come and proposed to Doreen.
"I didn't get down on one knee when I proposed because I'm not sure I could get off it," he told the Daily Mail with humor.
On the eve of her wedding, Doreen said she enjoys shopping for the right dress, which is not too glamorous, but simple and elegant.
"Of course I won't be a shy bride, but thinking about this event makes me a little dizzy," said Doreen.
Wishing the couple many happy years together!
