We remembered the tragic deaths of stars that broke our hearts over the past 15 years.

1. Zhanna Friske
July 8, 1974 - June 15, 2015
Two years of fighting an inoperable brain tumor, the support of friends, colleagues and fans, the hope for a miracle - everything ended in June this year, when the singer, young mother and wife Zhanna Friske died without regaining consciousness.
2. Michael Jackson
August 29, 1958 - June 25, 2009
Just like his life, the King of Pop's death was shrouded in speculation and intrigue. The police and the Drug Enforcement Administration took up the investigation into the death of the artist. The case lasted two years, and in November 2011, Jackson's personal doctor, Conrad Murray, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter: the cardiologist injected the artist with too much of the potent anesthetic propofol. The doctor was sentenced to 4 years in prison but released early in 2013.
3. Whitney Houston
August 9, 1963 - February 11, 2012
On the eve of the 54th Grammy ceremony, the unconscious singer was found in a room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. The cause of death was the use of a cocktail of cocaine, marijuana and sedatives, as a result of which Whitney's heart could not stand it, and she choked unconscious in the bathroom.
4. Roman Trachtenberg
September 28, 1968 - November 20, 2009
TV presenter and showman Roman Trachtenberg died of a heart attack, which, according to doctors, could be caused by a sharp weight loss.
5. Paul Walker
September 12, 1973 - November 30, 2013
Ironically, actor Paul Walker, racing driver and star of the Fast & Furious auto franchise, died in a car crash with his friend Roger Rodas, who lost control of the Porsche.
6. Vladimir Turchinsky
September 28, 1963 - December 16, 2009
The famous athlete and TV presenter died of a heart attack.
7. Heath Ledger
April 4, 1979 - January 22, 2008
Another drug victim is Heath Ledger, who mixed painkillers, sleeping pills and tranquilizers. The body of the 28-year-old actor was found in his Manhattan apartment.
8. Philip Seymour Hoffman
July 23, 1967 - February 2, 2014
Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman struggled with heroin addiction for many years. He suffered from the habit in his student years, but was able to overcome himself and did not use any drugs for 20 years. In 2012, celebrity circles began to speculate that Hoffman had returned to his addictions as he struggled with his wife, Marianne O'Donnell.
9. Murat Nasyrov
December 13, 1969 - January 19, 2007
The "boy" who sang about love fell out or jumped off the balcony of his apartment while in a state of prolonged depression. No traces of alcohol or drugs were found in the singer's body.
10. Robin Williams
July 21, 1951 - August 11, 2014
The actor has suffered from severe depression for many years. He also struggled with other demons, as back in the late 1970s he was addicted to drugs and alcohol. A terrible blow for Robin Williams was the death of his close friend actor John Belushi in March 1982. Belushi died of an overdose, and Robin himself no longer touched the drugs after that. It was much more difficult to overcome the passion for alcohol. The period of abstinence lasted as much as 20 years, but a few months before the suicide, Williams began to drink again due to depression, presumably caused by developing Parkinson's disease. In August last year, the actor hanged himself.
11. Amy Winehouse
September 14, 1983 - July 23, 2011
The legendary Amy joined the infamous 27 Club 10 years ago. The singer, who lived on the edge, died due to alcohol poisoning: the level of alcohol in her blood exceeded the maximum permissible concentration by five times.
12. Vladislav Galkin
December 25, 1971 - February 25, 2010
The Saboteur franchise star has died at the age of 38 from cardiac arrest. The doctors involved in the autopsy made an unequivocal conclusion: Galkin's body was worn out due to nervous exhaustion and alcohol abuse.
13. Alexander McQueen
March 17, 1969 - February 11, 2010
The designer hanged himself, grieving the death of his mother, who was the closest friend of the couturier. The text of McQueen's suicide note has yet to be revealed.
14. Brittany Murphy
November 10, 1977 - December 20, 2009
The 32-year-old actress went into cardiac arrest. The cause of the tragedy was a severe form of pneumonia - acute inflammation of the lungs, complicated by an overdose of drugs.
15. Andrey Panin
May 28, 1962 - March 6, 2013
The forensic experts who examined the body of the deceased actor had speculation about the murder of Panin. Upon the death of the artist, a criminal case was initiated, which, however, was closed at the beginning of this year due to the lack of corpus delicti. The cause of Panin's death is still a mystery.
16. Mikhail Gorshenev

The heart of the leader of the punk band "The King and the Jester" could not stand it: the artist abused alcohol and morphine.
17. Steve Jobs
24 February 1955 - 5 October 2011
In October 2003, Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The founder of Apple tried to fight the disease with a vegan diet, acupuncture, herbal medicine and refused the intervention of surgeons. In July 2004, Jobs agreed to the operation, but at the same time, he was diagnosed with liver metastases. Chemotherapy did not give encouraging results, and because of painkillers and immunosuppressants, Jobs's physical and moral condition was shaken, but he continued to work and fight the disease. In August 2011, Jobs announced his resignation as CEO of Apple, and in October he died.
18. Gennady Bachinsky
September 1, 1971 - January 12, 2008
The famous host of Maximum radio died in a car accident in the Tver region, driving into the oncoming lane.
19. Patrick Swayze
August 18, 1952 - September 14, 2009
Pancreatic cancer also claimed the life of actor Patrick Swayze. As with Jobs, Swayze's condition escalated with liver metastases.
20. Alexander Abdulov
May 29, 1953 - January 3, 2008
Doctors who observed the famous actor agree that years of smoking became the cause of lung cancer.
21. Batyrkhan Shukenov
May 18, 1962 - April 28, 2015
The founder and ex-soloist of the A'Studio group died of a heart attack and was buried at home in Kazakhstan.
