In August of this year, an unpleasant incident occurred with the family of Natalia Vodianova. The model's sister Oksana, diagnosed with CP and autism, together with her nanny and mother Larisa Kusakina were unceremoniously kicked out of a Nizhny Novgorod cafe "Flamingo". The incident caused a great public outcry, followed by mutual appeals to the police from both sides. According to the latest data, both the representatives of the cafe and the family of the famous model have refused mutual claims. But, as it turned out, the criminal case against the cook Akhmed Bayramov, who insulted Vodianova's sister, was still initiated. Now he faces up to a year in prison under the article “humiliation of human dignity.”

However, Natalya was not satisfied with this development of events. She on her Facebook page urged the public not to look for the guilty, but to try to solve this problem in a worthy way:

“Let's not trade one intolerance for another. Everything should be both within the legal framework and just human. Protecting people with disabilities, we cannot slide into an attack on their offenders and, even more so, to insults or calls for settling scores.” - wrote a celebrity.

During her visit to Nizhny Novgorod to participate in the International Business Summit, Vodianova met with employees of the Flamingo cafe at the Family Support Center, which provides assistance to children with special needs development. So both sides were able to communicate in an informal setting.

Natalya shared a photo on Instagram, in a comment to which she noted that the participants in the conflict got to know each other better over a cup of tea and learned a lot. As the model told one of the local TV channels, she cannot condemn her sister's offenders because she understands that the employees of this institution, like many members of our society, were not prepared for this kind of situation.

The meeting was also attended by 27-year-old Oksana, the sister of the model. As Natalya noted, there are positive aspects to this unpleasant incident. Due to the wide public outcry that was caused by the incident, the public became interested in the problems of people with developmental disabilities.
