A picture of ten mother soldiers breastfeeding their babies has gone viral on the internet.
American Tara Rudy, a former US Air Force soldier, created a touching photo project dedicated to the combination of the role of mother and the role of a soldier in the life of one woman. Previously in military service, the weaker sex could not afford to breastfeed a child in a he althy environment. Young mother soldiers had to hide in the most unexpected places to avoid sidelong glances from colleagues and comments from their superiors.
Recently Fort Bliss in El Paso has a dedicated breastfeeding room. This is what inspired Tara to create her photo project. So, Rudy invited ten female employees to demonstrate to the world through a photo how they breastfeed their child. The author thus wanted to support mother soldiers around the world. As Tara said, she wanted to show everyone that breastfeeding her own child, even in military service, is a great thing and a manifestation of immense maternal care. According to the author of the project, now female soldiers will understand that they do not need to make a choice between breastfeeding a baby and their own careers.
For the photo, ten mothers dressed up in their military uniforms and held their babies to their bare breasts. The picture was published on the social network Facebook on the page of the author of the project. The reaction of users was not long in coming.
