Sometimes doctors make mistakes in predictions.

The touching story of Jackson Strongman. He was prophesied a day of life, he stepped over a year

When Jackson was born without half a brain and half a skull, the doctors suggested that he would not live even a week. But a year later it became obvious that the baby seriously defied fate. His parents gave him the nickname Strong.

Jackson's mom, Brittany Buell, revealed that her son's problem was diagnosed during pregnancy. The likelihood that a child with such a serious anomaly would be born alive was small. Despite the suggestion of doctors to terminate the pregnancy, Brittany and her husband Brandon decided to give the baby a chance.

“The news that the baby will be born in this condition almost crushed me. I dreamed of a child all my life, and they told me that I could have a stillborn child,”says Jackson’s mom.

So Jackson was born on August 27, 2014. He weighed only 1.8 kg.

“It was an incredible experience. I remember holding him in my arms the second day and the doctors telling me that my son will probably never be able to talk or walk. He will not be able to see and hear and will not even understand when he is hungry. They really didn't expect him to be able to do it,” Brandon recalls. “We did everything we could to give him a chance and he has been fighting for him every day since he was born.”

Jackson was diagnosed with microhydrencephaly.

"I always remember that every day could be his last," says Brittany. But I feel the support of a lot of people, and it gives me strength.”

Jackson's Facebook page has over 90,000 likes. Brandon's colleagues launched a fundraiser for the baby and raised over $50,000. Thus, Brittany can afford to stay at home and take care of her son all the time.

"No therapy can replace a child's communication with his mother. And the fact that Brittany can be with him around the clock, seven days a week is priceless. We are very grateful to everyone who helps and supports,” says Brandon.
