50 moms on maternity leave will take a free course on the basics of entrepreneurship
Do not consider maternity leave a waste of time: now it can be a new start. The second free course on the basics of entrepreneurship for women has already begun at the Higher School of Economics. As part of the “Mother-Entrepreneur” social project, 50 Muscovites will learn how to properly open their own business, which means spending more time with their families and not entrusting the upbringing of children to grandmothers and nannies. Until the end of November, mothers will have time to learn about the basics of business planning, taxation of small businesses, how to properly allocate their time and resources, defend their project and take part in a business plan competition. And the main prize is a grant in the amount of 200,000 rubles for the implementation of their business idea. “The project will give the participants the opportunity to combine family care with professional self-realization by starting their own business, which means working on a flexible schedule,” said Yulia Urakcheeva, head of the “Mom Entrepreneur” project. “During the two years of the project, about 450 women were trained in five cities.”
The Entrepreneurial Mom project is implemented by the Amway Charitable Foundation “Responsible for the Future” together with the Higher School of Economics with the support of the Opora Rossii public business organization. Courses are held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Samara and Rostov-on-Don.
