Duck recipe with oranges in the oven
COOKING TIME: 40 minutes
QUANTITY: 4 servings
4 duck breasts with skin on
juice from 5 oranges
1 tbsp l. balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp. l. brown sugar
1-2 tsp chocolate paste (to taste)
a small bunch of thyme
1 orange (cut into circles)
Duck with oranges: recipe
1. Preheat oven to 220°C. With a sharp knife, make slashes on the skin of the duck breast at 1 cm intervals, place skin side down in a dry frying pan and put on fire.
Cook 6-8 minutes, draining fat, until skin is crispy.
Place the breasts on a baking sheet and place in the oven for 10-15 minutes or a little longer - until cooked through.
2. Combine remaining ingredients in skillet, heat and simmer until syrupy, 10-12 minutes.
Season duck with oranges, remove orange slices and thyme. Pour sauce over duck breasts.
3. Serve duck with orange, mashed potatoes and fresh coleslaw.
