Worth it or not? And what are the side effects? At what age should you think about them? Face-mask - is it because of them? We have sorted out the most popular questions.

Physics of aging
“The elastic frame of the skin of our face is collagen and elastin proteins, which are produced and updated by special fibroblast cells. Over time (on average after 30 years), the synthesis of these proteins slows down: there are fewer new, "good" cells, and more "old" ones. What's going on deeper? The ligaments that attach the muscles to the facial skeleton weaken, the relief of bone protrusions decreases, they become thinner and smoother. SMAS (muscular-aponeuratic system of the face), losing elasticity, slides down along with the skin and forms an uneven contour of the face. Collagen and elastin are no longer able to maintain the former shape of the tissue, and it ceases to resist the external influence of gravity, the face ages.
In earthlings, the skin “falls” with age, I can assume that aging manifests itself differently in space. Perhaps the face is deformed in different directions, depending on the physical laws on a particular planet. When humanity organizes a colony on the moon, plastic surgeons will not be needed there - the lunar gravity is lower than the earth's, and, most likely, the oval of the face will be preserved there for a long time.
So, if the fabric loses its elasticity, it is logical to sew it.
Threads are different
Threads can be classified into cosmetic and surgical, they solve different problems, and different specialists, cosmetologists and plastic surgeons should work with them.
Cosmetic 3D mesothreads
Cosmetic threads give a cosmetic effect - improve complexion, skin elasticity. Cosmetic threads, dissolving, force skin cells to create a new frame of the face. Sometimes they are also used for the body - they are able to make cellulite less noticeable, strengthen the stomach or décolleté. The introduction of biofilaments usually does not require additional anesthesia. The effect lasts from 4 to 6 months.
Surgical thread-implants
These threads do not dissolve, and it is they that allow you to “flash” the facial tissue. Modern threads are made of special medical silicone, they are elastic and “work” like a muscle itself. The elastic force of the thread allows you to tighten and fix the tissues, restoring the contours of a young face.
Surgical threads are attached to fixed structures, for example, to the aponeurosis of the scalp (tendon helmet), which do not move anywhere with age. Schematically, it looks like this: the thread is passed through the muscle layer, its end is brought out and removed. The thread is "anchored" in the tissues, and after that the skin can be tightened, fixed and created.
After the threads are placed, the surgeon begins to model the face, pulling and adjusting the tension of each of them in order to correct the oval, remove the "shaves", "open" the nasolabial fold. Threads can be fixed on different parts of the face. You can tighten only the corners of the mouth or do a brow lift. Raising the brow line to the level of a young woman is a stunning effect. Looking into the eyes of the interlocutor, we always unconsciously read the position of the eyebrows and determine her age. After a thread lift brow lift, it seems that something subtly rejuvenating has happened - there are no clear visible changes, but the look is much younger.
Warnings
Surgical thread lift is performed only under sterile conditions of a "small" operating room, in compliance with all the rules of antiseptic skin treatment. Cosmetological absorbable threads can be placed in the treatment room, where all sterility standards are also observed: the cosmetologist has sterile gloves, the room is quartzed, and so on. All the "terrible" stories about threads are the result of ignoring sterility. And, of course, remember: surgical threads must be placed by a surgeon, a person who owns surgical techniques. Incorrect insertion of the thread can create internal scars, then the thread will have to be removed and the scars excised.
Misconceptions
The main misconception associated with threads is the question "Is it too early for me?". Why are threads sometimes put on young patients? Because there are indications. Ptosis (the medical term for skin drooping) starts internally, visible skin drooping is a secondary symptom. Surgical sutures may not be needed for a patient even at 45 if she does not have ptosis, but a 22-year-old girl may be recommended if, for example, she has lost a lot of weight. Let's take an old patient with excess skin, but she is thin, and there is practically no fat layer, and it is impossible to work with threads.
You need to look at each face - what he needs.
Sometimes a patient comes and says: “I want thread!” And the doctor understands: she does not need threads. Or vice versa, he declares: "Do anything but threads - they don't work for me." Why don't they work? Perhaps, already somewhere “something” was set and this “something” did not work out. But it is the threads that can give her an excellent result.
Minimally invasive facelift
People often ask if threads are an alternative to a lift. Preventively yes. The process that has begun cannot be stopped, but it can be slowed down. The threads must be laid in fabrics that are not yet weak, but are beginning to weaken.
The threads made it possible to look wider at the aesthetics of rejuvenation. A traditional lift involves a circular seam, detachment and tightening. With the help of threads, we can do a minimally invasive facelift, it is also called smart - smart. A small incision is made in the temporal region, threads are threaded, with their help the muscles are tightened. If you need to remove something, this excess is removed. A small operation with a big effect. And no big cuts!
Summing up
Filament work is a manual technique, depending on how much the medical specialist knows the surgical technique and has an understanding of the aesthetics of the face. Because surgical threads are a double job: surgically precise insertion and aesthetically correct modeling.”
