Galina Nikolaevna Perfilova (nee - Nikitina) worked as a teacher at a music school. Her husband and father of Valeria, Yuri Ivanovich Perfilov, served as director of this educational institution. Alla, who later chose the pseudonym "Valeria", was taught music from childhood. The girl was fond of volleyball, skiing and attended dance lessons. She graduated from a music and secondary school with gold medals.
Immediately after school, Valeria went to work in the Reflection Ensemble at the Saratov Philharmonic.
