Masha is 7 years old, and she is glad that she hears her mother talking to her, how water flows from a tap, how trams pass outside the window. And most of all, the girl likes the way her beloved cat Betty purrs.
It was hard, because before that Masha lived in complete silence. Lera is 11 years old, Artyom is 12, and Maksimka is only three years old. Each child has his own story, his own diagnosis, but these girls and boys have one thing in common - they are children who want to be friends, share their successes and experiences with each other, and learn something new.
Mashenka and other wards of the Spark of Hope Foundation - children with disabilities - it is extremely important to communicate with peers, explore the world, have real friends, and this requires classes in a rehabilitation center.
In a small center for comprehensive social rehabilitation, teachers of additional education, a teacher-defectologist, a teacher in adaptive physical education, and a psychologist will work with families. After a long search, the premises for the new center were handed over to the fund by the administration of the city of Kursk. But it is in dire need of repair.
Masha, Lera, Artem, Maximka, their parents and 40 other families are looking forward to the opening of the center to meet in the classroom. Masha will definitely bring Betty's favorite for a housewarming party, and the cat will be the first to enter the new center. They say that when a cat is let into a new home, we alth comes in ahead of the owners. The Spark of Hope Foundation is raising 400,000 rubles for the renovation of the social rehabilitation center for children with disabilities.
