The coronavirus pandemic has revealed many heroes - and not only among people. This dog is not capable of much, but returning a smile to children in self-isolation is already a big deal.

Letter for you! Dog Nugget helps children in self-isolation to communicate with each other

Pitbull Nugget lives in Australia in the family of 40-year-old Sarah Jane and her six-year-old daughter Ava. The girl has been sick since childhood. And last year she even had to go to the hospital with flu complications. Since then, Ava has been registered due to kidney problems. Out of fear of accidentally bringing the coronavirus infection to her daughter, her family strictly adheres to the quarantine conditions and does not leave the house at all.

After several weeks in self-isolation, Ava missed her friends very much - and her dog decided to help. One day he came home with a letter attached to his collar. It turned out that Ava's friend, 10-year-old Sianna, "sent" it. The girls are close as sisters and yearn when they are away from each other. And this is what she wrote:

"Ava, I know we can't see each other right now, but we can send each other messages using the Nugget. I don't know why, but dogs don't carry the coronavirus. So right? Please send me a reply letter so I know you are still alive.

P. S.: COVID-19 will pass someday and everything will be fine again".

According to Sarah, when she read the letter, she could not hold back her tears - this message was so touching and sweet. Ava herself was very happy to receive a letter from her best friend. She was impatient to send an answer - and her faithful friend and part-time postman again came to her aid.

With the help of Nugget, the girls have resumed communication and now even use the dog for educational purposes: friends give each other small tasks - for example, come up with a poem or draw a picture - and then check how they are done.

True, Nugget's mail has been intermittent lately. The dog loves to walk around the neighborhood, visiting other neighbors who are always happy to see a good-natured pet, so the delivery of the letter began to take longer.
